During the activation of Windows, I encountered the error "0xC004F050", so what should I do?

This error occurs when you use a license to activate a different edition of Windows than the one installed.

If you encounter the problem on a PC running Windows, to get instructions and complete the activation, please send us an email attaching:

– a screenshot or photo showing the entire window in which the error is reported

– a screenshot or photo where the operating system version and edition are visible

Suppose you encounter the problem on a Mac running Windows via a virtual machine. In that case, you need to uninstall the version of Windows currently available and proceed with the new installation of the purchased version.
