How to redeem an Xbox Live Gift Card

Digital codes have a well-defined structure. They consist of 25 characters and follow a 5×5 format. This means they are divided into five blocks, each containing five characters. This structure allows them to be easily read and understood, facilitating their typing and sharing.

Important: Before proceeding with redeeming your digital code, it is critical to ensure that you are logged into the correct Microsoft account on the device or browser you are using. Once a code has been redeemed, it cannot be transferred or reassigned to another account.

How to Redeem Codes on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One

  1. Start by pressing the Xbox button on your console. This action will take you directly to the Main Panel.
  2. Once you open the Panel, you will find several options. Select “Store” to access the Xbox store and redeem your code.
  3. With the Xbox store open, press the “View” button. This will bring up a side menu with several options.
  4. Search for and select the “Redeem” option inside the side menu. This will take you to a screen where you can enter your code.
  5. Carefully enter your 25−character code in the box provided. Once done, select “Next.” At this point, you will be given further instructions on how to complete the redemption process.

How to Redeem Codes on a PC or a Mobile Web Browser

1. Go to the Microsoft redeem page: https://www.microsoft.com/redeem

2. Sign in with your Microsoft account.

3. Enter the 25-character code in the box provided.

4. Click on the “Next” button.

5. Follow the instructions to complete the redemption process.

Collecting Codes in the Microsoft Store on Windows

  1. Click the Start button located at the bottom left corner of your screen. This button features the classic Windows icon and is easily recognizable.

  2. In the search bar that appears, type “Store” and wait for the search results to display.

  3. From the search results, locate “Microsoft Store” and click on it to open the application.

  4. Once inside the Microsoft Store, find your account icon in the upper right corner of the screen and click on it.

  5. In the drop-down menu, select “Redeem code or gift certificates.”

  6. A box will appear prompting you to enter your code. Carefully type in your 25-character code, and once you are finished, click “Next.”

  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the redemption process.

Redeeming Codes in the XBox app for Windows

IMPORTANT: Please note that you cannot redeem codes through the Xbox app for mobile devices. To redeem your codes, make sure to use the Xbox app on a Windows device.

  1. Press the Start button, typically located in the lower left corner of the desktop.

  2. After the Start menu opens, type “Xbox” in the search bar and wait for the results to appear.

  3. From the returned results, click on “Xbox app” to launch the application.

  4. Once the app is open, locate your player image in the upper left corner of the screen and click on it. Then, select “Settings” from the menu that appears.

  5. Within the Settings, find the “Redeem” option under the “Redeem a code” section and click on it. This will take you to a screen where you can enter your code.

  6. In the provided box, accurately type your 25-character code. After entering the code, click “Next” and follow the further instructions to complete the redemption process.

Redeeming Codes on Xbox 360

  1. Start by pressing the Help button on your Xbox 360 controller. This will direct you to the console’s main menu.

  2. Once in the menu, navigate to the “Games and Apps” option and select it using your controller.

  3. After selecting “Games and Apps,” you will see several options. Look for and select “Redeem Code.” This section is specifically for code redemption.

  4. You will be presented with a screen where you can enter your code. Carefully type or enter your 25-character code in the designated box.

  5. After entering the code correctly, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the redemption process. Make sure to read them carefully to ensure a smooth redemption.
