How to Redeem a Code on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S

Have a code to redeem? Follow these steps to redeem a code on your Xbox console.

Press the Xbox button on your controller. This button is marked with the Xbox logo and located in the center of the controller.

Once the Panel is open, select the “Store” option. This is where you can redeem your codes and gift cards.

Press the View button on your controller. This button, often indicated with the symbol of three horizontal lines , is located on the front of the controller, near the Xbox button.

The “Redeem” option is in the sidebar menu. Select it to redeem your code.

Enter the 25-character code you want to redeem. Remember that codes follow a 5×5 format, meaning five blocks of five characters, including numbers and letters.

After entering the code, select “Next” and follow the displayed instructions to complete the redemption process.

Once you’ve entered and confirmed the code, if it’s valid, Microsoft will confirm that it has been successfully activated. Once you receive the confirmation, you can close the redemption window.

Return to the main menu of your Xbox One and select “My Games & Apps.”

The game you just redeemed is in the “Ready to Install” section. Select it to start the installation process.

Once redeemed, your gift card or code will be applied to your Microsoft account, allowing you to make purchases on Xbox or extend your Xbox subscriptions. If you encounter issues during the redemption process, it’s advisable to check the code’s validity and ensure it’s compatible with your region and account.
