A Year in Twelve Turns

The game's events take place between 218 and 202 BC, with each turn representing a month. The campaign spans all four seasons, with variable weather conditions that influence gameplay strategy. This realistic approach adds depth and realism to your gaming experience.

Focused Multiplayer Campaign

For generals who prefer a faster multiplayer campaign, "Hannibal at the Gates" offers a smaller geographical area, making cooperative or competitive campaigns more focused and quicker than the Grand Campaign.

New Historical Battles

This DLC introduces two new historical battles: the Battle of Cannae (216 BC) and the Battle of Zama (202 BC). These battles are crucial to the Second Punic War, with Cannae representing the pinnacle of Hannibal's invasion of Italy and Zama marking Rome's final victory over Carthage.

New Playable Factions

The Lusitani

The Lusitani, a confederation of tribes, are experts in guerrilla tactics. With Hannibal's army advancing, the Lusitani have the opportunity to expand and liberate Iberia from the invaders. Syracuse

Syracuse is a wealthy and culturally advanced city-state. Located in the central Mediterranean, it is coveted by both Rome and Carthage. During the Second Punic War, Syracuse must decide whether to defend its autonomy or risk becoming a colony under one of the two superpowers.
