Buy Shambles: Green Abyss Steam GLOBAL and Expand Your Post-Apocalyptic Adventure
Explore a new region, follow the trail of Expedition Squad 1 and face threats capable of changing the fate of the continent of Ustea. The DLC adds new stories, cards, equipment, enemies, bosses and endings to the strategic gameplay of Shambles: Sons of Apocalypse. The base game is required.
A New Journey into the Depths of the Green Abyss
Green Abyss expands the narrative universe with a new story set beyond the territories explored in the main game. The last traces of Expedition Squad 1 lead west, into a region covered by dense forests and inhabited by mysterious tribes with powers that are difficult to understand.
Your group must travel through unknown areas, meet new communities and collect clues to reconstruct what happened to the missing expedition. Every encounter can reveal important information or open alternative paths, keeping the decision-based narrative system at the center of the experience.
The choices made during exploration affect relationships, events and conclusions. You can follow the trail of the lost squad or focus on the new threats forming in the darkest areas of the forest.
Greenpia and Roa Open Two New Storylines
The additional content introduces the stories of Greenpia and Roa, offering different perspectives on the events changing the game world. The western storyline leads toward isolated populations and powers that exceed the knowledge of previously encountered factions.
By choosing an alternative path, you will instead come into contact with Roa’s rebel forces. This part of the campaign puts the player on the trail of a new figure hidden in the forest and connected to the Citadel’s secret plans.
You must uncover the nature of the weapon developed by the enemy faction and prevent it from being used. As in the main game, dialogue choices and decisions can change the course of the story, making different outcomes and endings possible.
The Entire Western Region Becomes Explorable
The DLC makes the western area of the continent of Ustea accessible, considerably expanding the available territory. The new areas feature environments, factions and events that do not appear in the original campaign.
Exploration takes place through a text-based and illustrated structure in which every movement can lead to battles, narrative encounters, rewards or risky decisions. You must carefully evaluate which paths to follow, because wasting resources can make later battles more difficult.
The new region is not simply an additional setting. It is designed as a complete extension of the story, with characters, conflicts and mysteries connected to the disappearance of Expedition Squad 1 and the activities of the Citadel.
Strategic Battles with New Cards and Equipment
Combat retains the turn-based card system. Each turn requires you to choose which abilities to use, which resources to preserve and how to respond to enemy actions.
Green Abyss introduces new cards that allow you to develop different strategies. You can strengthen a build already used in the main campaign or experiment with combinations based on the new available abilities.
Additional equipment also expands customization options. Weapons, protection and items can modify the character’s performance and create synergies with the selected cards. Deck preparation therefore remains essential for overcoming the most demanding battles.
New Enemies and Bosses Guard the Secrets of the Forest
The western region is home to new opponents connected to local tribes, the Citadel and the forces moving within the Green Abyss. Each enemy has characteristics that may require a different approach to deck and resource management.
The new bosses represent the main challenges of the expansion. To defeat them, you must observe their actions, recognize offensive patterns and use your cards at the most effective moment.
A strategy focused entirely on damage may not be enough. Defense, control, recovery and effect management can become essential during longer encounters. The new battles therefore encourage you to modify your deck and experiment with different solutions.
Decisions, Consequences and New Endings
Narrative choices continue to influence the development of the adventure. Helping a faction, avoiding a battle or following a specific trail can open new events and close off other possibilities.
The expansion adds endings connected to the stories of Greenpia, Roa, the missing expedition and the Citadel’s new plans. Discovering every conclusion may require multiple playthroughs and different decisions.
The roguelite structure makes every attempt an opportunity to test new cards, equipment and choices. Even a defeat can provide useful information for preparing a better strategy during the next run.
