About the Product
Face the zombie apocalypse in co-op for up to 8 players with persistent progression, permadeath, cross-platform support, and Xbox Play Anywhere
Enter the darkness as an Emergency Responder
No More Room in Hell 2 is a cooperative survival horror shooter developed by Torn Banner Studios and published on Xbox by Green Man Gaming Publishing, available from August 11, 2026.
The game puts you in the role of an Emergency Responder sent into locations devastated by a zombie outbreak.
Each mission requires you to explore dangerous environments, complete objectives, and cooperate with other survivors to improve your chances of extraction.
The tension comes mainly from the fact that every encounter can have permanent consequences.
A mistake, an infection, or a badly managed fight can lead to the permanent death of your Responder, along with the loss of progression associated with that character.
The structure therefore combines cooperation, survival, resource management, and extremely risky combat.
Survive together with up to 8 players
No More Room in Hell 2 is built around online co-op for 2 to 8 players.
Players can begin separated across the map and must gradually find each other while completing objectives.
Proximity voice chat ties communication directly to player position, increasing both tension and immersion.
Sharing resources becomes essential because ammunition, tools, and medical supplies are not available in unlimited quantities.
The team must therefore decide how to distribute equipment and responsibilities.
The game rewards coordination and planning: facing the horde without a strategy can quickly turn an apparently manageable mission into a situation with no way out.
Face dynamic hordes and brutal combat
Zombies are not simply targets to eliminate.
Hordes react to player actions and can quickly turn small mistakes into extremely dangerous situations.
Combat includes both firearms and melee encounters.
You can use pistols, rifles, shotguns, and different improvised weapons, but limited ammunition and resources make it important to choose carefully when to fight.
Available tools also include:
- Proximity bombs
- Molotov cocktails
- Tactical equipment
- Melee weapons
- Weapon attachments
The damage and gore systems make combat particularly visceral, while the need to conserve resources encourages more deliberate approaches than a traditional shooter.
Customize weapons and build your loadout
Weapons can be improved using different attachments.
Available modifications include:
- Sights
- Scopes
- Suppressors
- Other firearm attachments
These elements allow you to adapt your equipment to your preferred playstyle and the mission ahead.
A weapon with a scope may be more effective in long-range encounters, while a suppressor can reduce the risk of attracting additional enemies.
As you progress, you can create increasingly specialized loadouts for future missions.
Limited resources still keep tension high: owning a powerful weapon does not necessarily mean you have enough ammunition to use it without consequences.
Develop your Responder between missions
Progression continues across multiple operations.
Each successful extraction allows your Responder to improve abilities and unlock new perks.
These bonuses let you create characters focused more heavily on specific roles and strategies.
You can develop builds oriented toward combat, support, or other team needs.
Progression makes each survivor more valuable with every completed mission.
At the same time, permadeath dramatically increases the pressure.
If the character dies permanently, the progress earned with that Responder can be lost.
The result is a system where every new ability makes the character both more effective and more important to keep alive.
