Nightmare Frontier - Wicked Harvest is the first official DLC for Nightmare Frontier, developed by Ice Code Games and published by Slitherine Ltd.

The expansion introduces a new category of enemies called Wicked Dreadweavers, creatures far more powerful than standard Dreadweavers and built around a single Fear taken to its most extreme consequences.

A mysterious alchemist in Chinatown will teach you how to track them, kill them and use what remains of their bodies to develop new upgrades.

Wicked Harvest is additional content and requires Nightmare Frontier on Steam. The base game is not included.

The DLC expands Nightmare Frontier with a new series of activities and rewards centered around hunting the Wicked.

It includes:

The hunt becomes available after your squad reaches Chinatown in the base game.

Face twelve bosses that change the rules of combat

Each Wicked Dreadweaver introduces special conditions designed to radically change your usual tactical approach.

Wicked Cannon Head bombards the streets with mortar fire and can turn other monsters on the map into explosives.

Wicked Puppets fights as a pair: if you eliminate only one of the two enemies, the other can revive it at full health, forcing you to defeat both within the same turn.

Wicked Deadwood immobilizes every unit on the battlefield, making free actions and ranged abilities especially important.

Wicked Sawbones fully restores injured monsters, while Wicked Wendigo recovers all health at the end of every round and becomes stronger every time it is hit.

Seven additional Wicked enemies introduce their own unique mechanics.

Track the Wicked during expeditions

Wicked Dreadweavers do not remain permanently in the same location.

They appear randomly across different districts and can move to a new part of the city after each completed raid.

The Serpent Apothecary updates your map, showing which district a target occupies and how deep into the area it can be found.

Only some Wicked enemies are available at the same time, turning each expedition into a strategic choice.

You can immediately pursue a distant target or wait for a more favorable opportunity, at the risk of temporarily losing track of it.

Once a Wicked is permanently defeated, it will no longer return to the Frontier.

Collect Black Hearts and unlock new Upgrade Trees

Every defeated Wicked drops a Black Heart.

By bringing these hearts to the Serpent Apothecary, you can unlock new permanent upgrades in the Hideout.

Among the new options is Lazarus Springs, which lets you use mysterious black water to bring Scavengers lost during an expedition back to life.

Quicksilver, Alkahest, Azoth and Ether Founts can generate anomalies capable of upgrading equipment found in the city for free.

The Sleeping Slabs can provide resting squad members with bonuses such as increased movement, immunity and other useful effects before the next mission.

Claim twelve Legendary Trophies from the monsters

In addition to Black Hearts, every Wicked Dreadweaver drops a unique piece of legendary equipment created directly from its body.

These Trophies can be upgraded and significantly change the way you fight.

The Spider Carapace adds extra limbs and allows the user to unleash a large amount of firepower along the line of sight.

The Cannon provides a powerful close-range attack capable of dramatically changing battlefield positioning.

The Wendigo Frontlet makes the character more powerful as they take damage.

The Wooden Wig allows the Scavenger to be deployed anywhere on the map.

Each boss therefore provides a reward capable of meaningfully changing your available strategies.

Discover a separate questline with the Serpent Apothecary

Wicked Harvest includes a new story separate from the main campaign.

After reaching Chinatown, you can find the Serpent Apothecary, an enigmatic alchemist interested in the most powerful creatures produced by the Nightmare.

You can move his laboratory into your Hideout and begin delivering the Black Hearts collected during your hunts.

Every analyzed heart reveals new information about the Fear that generated the corresponding Wicked Dreadweaver.

The questline therefore lets you explore the Nightmare’s lore in greater depth while developing new upgrades for your squad.
