Buy IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator and Become the Operator of the Ultimate Artillery Machine
Take your place inside a gigantic dieselpunk turret and personally manage ballistic calculations, coordinates, ammunition, and mechanical systems. With Steam Altergift GLOBAL for PC, experience a tactical first-person simulation where every command from Headquarters, every adjustment, and every shot can influence the fate of the front.
An Alternate War in 1920s Spain
The campaign is set in an alternate version of Spain at the end of the 1920s. The monarchy remains in power while a republican uprising spreads throughout the country, gradually dragging different regions into conflict.
You do not fight as an ordinary soldier. Your role is that of the Operator of IRON NEST, an enormous artillery machine from which you receive orders and information about the front. Communications arrive through teleprinters, deliberately maintaining a cold distance between Headquarters and the person who must physically carry out the operations.
The story is handcrafted and uses reports, communications, and newspapers to show the consequences of your decisions.
Heavy Artillery in First Person: Every Command Passes Through Your Hands
The gameplay focuses on manually operating a turret weighing approximately 5,000 tons. You do not simply select a target and watch the system do all the work: you must interact with wheels, levers, instruments, aiming devices, and other mechanisms.
Each mission requires you to interpret the information you receive and turn it into an effective firing solution. The machine is enormous and does not react instantly, so you need to anticipate movement and use the time required for rotation or elevation to perform other tasks.
This approach makes the simulation deliberately methodical and turns shot preparation into a fundamental part of the experience.
Coordinates, Maps, and Ballistic Calculations: Think First, Then Fire
The tactical map is one of the Operator's most important tools. You must use coordinates, measurements, and field reports to identify the correct target position.
Once you have the necessary data, you need to configure elevation and propellant charge so that the projectile trajectory reaches the desired point. Increasing the charge allows you to strike more distant targets, while different values change the arc of the shot.
The ballistic calculator helps transform collected information into a firing solution, but you are responsible for configuring the machine correctly. A measurement error can turn a precise strike into a shot that completely misses the target.
Different Ammunition for Different Problems
Not every objective can be approached in the same way. The simulation offers more than 30 types of ammunition and unlockable abilities, allowing you to adapt your arsenal to different tactical situations.
Armor-piercing ammunition can be used against fortified structures, while smoke shells can provide cover for friendly forces. Other options gradually expand your operational possibilities throughout the campaign.
Choosing the correct type of shell is just as important as calculating its trajectory. Wasting specialized ammunition or using an unsuitable solution can compromise the objective and influence what happens on the battlefield.
The Front Reacts to Your Decisions
Your shots are not simply numbers on a screen. Information received from the front and aerial photographs allow you to verify the outcome of operations and understand the effects of the decisions made from the turret.
The map therefore becomes both a measurement tool and a window onto the conflict. Procedural objectives add variation to operations and make missions more replayable.
You must balance precision, speed, and tactical priorities. In some situations, you may need to destroy a fortified position, while in others your task may be to support a retreat or respond quickly to new information coming from the front line.
A Massive Machine That Can Also Betray You
IRON NEST is not presented as a perfect, fully automated platform. Its mechanical systems require attention and can introduce additional challenges during operations.
Directly managing the mechanisms contributes to the industrial atmosphere: rotating the turret, adjusting elevation, and preparing the next shot all reinforce the sensation of controlling an incredibly heavy structure.
The interior environment is an integral part of the simulation. You are not simply sitting in front of an abstract interface but operating inside a machine filled with terminals, instruments, and systems that must be personally controlled.
Even secondary elements such as the operational siren and the customizable feline companion contribute to the title's distinctive dieselpunk identity.
Fifteen Regions and Procedural Objectives for Greater Replayability
The campaign spans 15 regions and combines a handcrafted story with procedurally generated objectives. This approach helps maintain a recognizable narrative structure without making every operation completely identical.
Two challenge modes and leaderboards are also available for players who want to improve their performance after learning how to properly operate the turret's systems.
Accuracy can be rewarded through an extensive recognition system, with more than 100 unlockable medals. This encourages players to replay missions, refine calculations, and achieve better results rather than simply completing the campaign once.
