Buy Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Deluxe Edition Steam Account for PC and prepare for a hardcore military FPS set during the Vietnam War. Fight in 50v50 online battles, coordinate your squad, pilot helicopters and patrol boats, build tunnels with the NVA and expand the experience with the 2026 Field Supplies cosmetic content.

The Vietnam War transforms the Hell Let Loose formula

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam takes the series away from the battlefields of World War II and introduces a setting defined by dense jungles, mountains, waterways and environmental conditions capable of completely changing the way combat unfolds.

US forces face the People’s Army of Vietnam in large-scale battles where success depends far more on coordination than on the performance of an individual player. Communication, chain of command, territorial control and proper resource management become essential elements.

Each match can involve up to 100 participants divided into two armies of 50 players. This is therefore not a traditional arcade FPS: moving without support, ignoring squad orders or attacking without preparation can quickly compromise an entire offensive.

Six large maps turn jungles and rivers into battlefields

The game features six large-scale maps inspired by real locations and scenarios from the conflict. Environments include dense forests, vast mountain valleys, river networks and terrain that requires a different approach compared with the open maps typical of many FPS games.

Vegetation can hide entire squads, make ambushes harder to detect and turn every advance into a risk. Waterways become strategic movement routes thanks to the presence of armed patrol boats.

Terrain, lines of sight and cover therefore become crucial. Before crossing an exposed area or entering the jungle, you need to consider where the enemy may be positioned and which route allows your squad to maintain the advantage.

The United States and NVA fight with deliberately asymmetric tactics

The two factions are not simply cosmetic versions of the same army. Their design introduces different tools and possibilities to reflect how the respective forces operate on the battlefield.

US forces can use dedicated air units, including helicopters that add a new dimension to logistics and mobility.

The NVA can instead build tunnel networks to create hidden deployment points and prepare ambushes away from normal access routes.

This asymmetry forces both sides to understand not only their own arsenal, but also the capabilities of the enemy. Finding an enemy tunnel, protecting a landing zone or controlling a river can be just as important as directly eliminating opposing soldiers.

Seventeen roles give every soldier a precise function

Each 50-player team is divided into specialized units, with a total of 17 roles spread across command, infantry, reconnaissance, armor, helicopters and mortars.

You can take on the role of Commander, Squad Leader, Rifleman, Grenadier, Engineer, Medic, Specialist or Machine Gunner within the main units. Reconnaissance includes Spotter and Sniper, while vehicle crews use Tank Commander and Crewman.

The United States also has Logistics Officer and Pilot roles for helicopter units. Mortar squads include Observer, Support and Gunner.

Your chosen role determines your equipment, responsibilities and contribution to the team. The system therefore encourages specialization and understanding how individual abilities can support the wider objective.

Helicopters, patrol boats and armored vehicles change the pace of battle

The new setting allows the series to significantly expand vehicle combat. US helicopters provide mobility and logistical support, making it possible to reach areas that would take much longer to access by land.

Armed patrol boats turn river systems into actual combat routes. Controlling a waterway can allow forces and firepower to move rapidly between different sectors.

Ground vehicles and armored units are also present, creating battles where infantry, vehicles, air support and indirect fire must work together.

Using a vehicle effectively is not only about shooting accurately. Positioning, communication with infantry and coordination with the chain of command become essential to avoid losing valuable resources.

Historically inspired weapons and hardcore combat reward discipline

Gunplay maintains the realistic and punishing approach that defines the series. Weapons are inspired by equipment used during the conflict, while every engagement rewards awareness, positioning and understanding of the environment.

The pace is not built around constant running and shooting like an arcade shooter. Even a few hits can be enough to eliminate a soldier, making it dangerous to cross uncontrolled areas.

Machine guns, rifles, explosives, specialist weapons and support systems all serve different roles within the squad. A Machine Gunner can lock down an area, while a Medic helps keep infantry operational during an assault.

Victory therefore comes from combining different specializations rather than simply achieving the highest number of individual eliminations.

Communication and chain of command decide the outcome of the battle

One of the fundamental characteristics of the series remains its squad-based structure. Every unit has specific roles and communicates through a chain of command designed to coordinate dozens of players at the same time.

The Commander manages the overall view of the battle, while Squad Leaders must turn strategic orders into clear objectives for their soldiers.

This system allows large-scale attacks, defenses and maneuvers to be organized. One squad can hold a position while another prepares a flank, reconnaissance units gather intelligence and heavy vehicles provide support.

When communication works effectively, the battlefield develops a structure very different from a normal deathmatch. Every squad becomes part of a larger army.

The Deluxe Edition adds the 2026 Field Supplies

The Deluxe Edition includes the base game and the 2026 Field Supplies pack, a collection of cosmetic content released throughout 2026.

The first included content is the NVA Boat Crew Uniform, dedicated to Vietnamese crews operating in river environments.

The ANZAC & NVA Uniform Pack is planned for the third quarter of 2026, while the Green Berets & Navy SEALs Uniform Pack is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.

These contents expand customization options and are not designed to provide competitive advantages during battles.

The US Army Boat Crew Uniform is instead a pre-order bonus. Its availability therefore depends on whether the license associated with the account was purchased during the pre-purchase period and should not automatically be considered a permanent part of the Deluxe Edition.
