Two Opposing Styles for the Heroes of the Resistance

The Smoke & Steel Cosmetic Pack lets you change the appearance of your adventurers with two sets inspired by iconic figures from Japanese warrior culture. The Samurai set is designed for players who want to display discipline, honor and strength, while the Ninja set offers a stealthier, darker and more intimidating appearance.

The items can be used while exploring Fahrul, during random encounters and throughout turn-based battles against the forces loyal to Queen Rosomon. The pack does not add a new campaign or playable characters, but expands the cosmetic customization options available for your party.

With different headpieces, masks and accessories, you can create a coordinated group or combine individual items to produce a more personal appearance. The DLC requires the base game on the same Steam account.

The Samurai Set Brings Honor to the Battlefield

The Samurai set offers five cosmetic items for heroes who prefer to face the threats of Fahrul directly. The Yoroi armor is the main component, creating a strong, ceremonial and immediately recognizable appearance.

The Kabuto adds a traditional warrior helmet, while the Menpo covers the character’s face with an intimidating mask. A combined Kabuto and Menpo variant is also included, providing a complete customization option.

The wearable Taiko Drum backpack completes the set with a distinctive accessory. It can further define your character’s appearance during expeditions, encounters and battles on the tactical grid.

Every item preserves the colorful, tabletop-miniature visual style that characterizes the original experience.

The Ninja Set Surrounds Your Party with Smoke and Shadows

The Ninja set is dedicated to adventurers who prefer a more stealth-focused appearance. The Ninja Suit changes the character’s main outfit, creating a figure ready to move through the shadows and surprise the Queen’s servants.

The Ninja Hood covers the head and creates a mysterious profile. The Ninja Headband provides a lighter alternative for players who want to keep some of the character’s facial details visible.

A variant combining the headband with the Menpo is also available, adding a protective mask to the headgear. The Ninja Backpack completes the selection with an accessory coordinated with the rest of the cosmetic equipment.

These items allow you to create an entirely ninja-themed party or combine them with elements from the Samurai set.

Customize a Party of Up to Four Adventurers

For The King II allows you to travel alone while controlling the entire party or cooperate with up to three friends. The ten cosmetic items provide several ways to distinguish party members during cooperative sessions.

You can assign the Samurai style to more resilient fighters, use the Ninja theme for agile characters or create a formation that combines both aesthetics. Customizations remain visible while the group explores the procedurally generated map, visits towns and battles enemies.

Cooperative play requires coordination during decisions, item distribution and combat. Cosmetic elements do not replace strategic preparation, but they make the party more recognizable and personal throughout the campaign.

Strategic Battles on the Tactical Grid

The base game combines RPG, roguelite and tabletop mechanics in a turn-based system influenced by virtual dice rolls. Movement, encounters and attack results can be affected by chance, but party composition and positioning remain essential.

The Battle Grid adds depth to combat by allowing you to protect the back row, reposition enemies and take advantage of environmental effects. A resilient character can defend allies with a shield, while ranged specialists can attack from safer positions.

When equipped with Smoke & Steel items, these battles gain a visual identity inspired by samurai and ninja without changing the original tactical structure.

A Roguelite Campaign in the Kingdom of Fahrul

Queen Rosomon, once beloved by her people, has transformed Fahrul into an oppressed kingdom. Citizens are forced to work in the mines while the ruler forms alliances with dark and dangerous forces.

The party must travel through different biomes, complete quests and face procedurally generated encounters. The main campaign offers seven connected adventures and more than thirty hours of gameplay, while each defeat allows you to begin the next attempt with greater experience and new starting opportunities.

The game also includes Dark Carnival, an endless dungeon mode, single-player gameplay and online or local cooperative play for up to four participants.
