Buy Fogpiercer Steam Key and build the convoy that will save humanity
Buy Fogpiercer Steam Key ROW for PC and face a science-fiction roguelike deckbuilder based on tactical turn-based combat. Assemble locomotives and carriages, create a deck with more than 170 cards and cross a post-apocalyptic world dominated by bandits and deadly fog.
Humanity’s last hope travels on the railway
A deadly fog has swallowed the world and transformed vast regions into hostile territories crossed only by armed convoys and gangs ready to attack anyone attempting to escape. Humanity needs to reach a safe location, and its survival depends on the train placed under the player’s command.
Every expedition begins with the selection of a locomotive, carriages and drivers. These decisions do not simply change the appearance of the convoy: they determine the starting cards, available abilities and strategic options that can be used during the journey.
A train equipped with artillery can violently move enemy vehicles, while a defensive configuration may rely on shields and durability to survive the most dangerous encounters.
The route crosses regions dominated by fog, where every stop may offer resources, repairs or a new threat. The mission is not limited to surviving a single battle. Players must keep the convoy operational, protect its passengers and reach the final destination.
The roguelike structure makes every journey different. Routes, encounters, rewards and enemies change between runs, forcing players to adapt their strategy to the available opportunities.
Build the train to create your deck
The convoy functions as a means of transport, the main unit to protect and the foundation of the deck. Every locomotive, carriage and driver adds specific cards to the starting configuration, creating a direct relationship between train construction and combat strategy.
Players can select carriages equipped with miniguns, artillery, shields, support systems and tools capable of manipulating the battlefield. Hackers can generate decoys or take control of hostile vehicles, while cranes can physically move enemies across the grid.
Some configurations focus on direct damage, while others rely on control, defence and chain reactions. During an expedition, resources can be collected to purchase new carriages, repair damaged components and upgrade cards.
The deck therefore evolves together with the convoy, making it possible to correct a weakness or strengthen a particularly effective combination.
With more than 170 cards available, the options include status effects, attacks, support abilities and tools dedicated to positioning. Simply adding the most powerful cards is not always the best solution, because an oversized deck may make it difficult to draw the correct option at the decisive moment.
The ideal configuration requires a balance between power, reliability and the ability to respond to different enemies.
Tactical battles where positioning determines victory
Battles take place in turns across fields featuring lanes, obstacles and environmental hazards. The convoy is surrounded by hostile vehicles equipped with different weapons, traits and weaknesses. Enemies are often more numerous, so relying only on direct force can quickly lead to defeat.
Each turn provides a limited number of action points. Players must decide which cards to use, which units to move and which threat should be eliminated first. Enemy intentions are displayed in advance, allowing players to prepare a response or turn an incoming attack into an advantage.
Positioning is essential. A hostile vehicle can be pushed in front of the locomotive and crushed, thrown over a cliff or placed in the same line as another enemy so that they attack each other.
A carefully positioned explosion can destroy the first vehicle in a column and send it backwards into the units behind it. Artillery, hacking, coal and battlefield control can be combined to create chain reactions.
The order of actions can completely change the outcome. Using a movement card before an area attack may allow several targets to be eliminated with a single sequence.
The system rewards observation and creativity, transforming every battle into a tactical problem with several possible solutions.
Branching routes filled with risks and rewards
The journey is divided into regions crossed by branching routes. Before reaching the final destination, players must choose which nodes to visit while considering dangers, rewards and special conditions.
A safer route may offer limited resources, while a more dangerous path can provide rare cards and decisive upgrades.
Battlefields do not always follow the same rules. Some provide more room for manoeuvring, while others force the train to fight near cliffs or obstacles. Certain encounters may include an ally, while others restrict movement and give the bandits an advantage.
Friendly stations allow players to repair locomotives and carriages, purchase new units or sell components that no longer fit the deck. Workshops can improve equipment and unlock additional cards, making it important to preserve enough resources between battles.
Random encounters introduce narrative decisions and opportunities that may offer major benefits or unexpected complications. Every region ends with a boss featuring its own background, abilities and mechanics.
Choosing the route is therefore part of the overall strategy. Players must consider not only the next battle, but also the condition in which the convoy will reach the final encounter.
Locomotives, carriages and drivers change every run
The variety of configurations supports very different playstyles. A durable locomotive may favour strategies based on impact and close-range encounters, while a lighter convoy can focus on mobility and lane control.
Carriages are the main offensive and defensive resources. The minigun provides rapid and distributed firepower, while artillery can deal damage and move opponents. Shields protect the most important parts of the train, absorbing attacks that could destroy a less resistant configuration.
Cranes, hacking systems and special modules expand the available options. Temporarily controlling an enemy vehicle can change the balance of a battle, while a carefully positioned decoy may redirect an attack away from the convoy.
Cranes can prepare collisions and environmental combinations. Drivers also add specific cards and abilities. Their selection influences the direction of the entire expedition and may strengthen particular carriage categories.
Metaprogression allows players to unlock additional locomotives, drivers and carriages after every journey. New combinations can be tested, while favourite components can be improved to provide additional cards during future runs.
Specialised enemies and bosses disrupt every strategy
The gangs controlling the world use vehicles equipped with different weapons, traits and behaviours. Some enemies attack the convoy directly, while others provide support, apply negative effects or occupy strategic positions to restrict movement.
Enemy intentions are shown before their actions are performed. This information allows players to prepare a defence and manipulate the battlefield so that attacks strike different targets than originally intended.
A heavily armoured vehicle may be difficult to destroy through direct damage, but it can become vulnerable when pushed in front of the train or toward an environmental hazard.
Lighter vehicles can be used to trigger explosions and damage nearby units. Bosses introduce special abilities and conditions capable of changing the rules of the encounter.
Before reaching them, players must build a sufficiently flexible deck, repair damaged components and preserve resources for emergencies.
The variety of opponents prevents players from relying on a single combination. A strategy that works well in one region may become ineffective in the next, making it necessary to purchase new carriages, modify the deck and adjust the order of actions.
Stylised graphics and Steam features complete the journey
The game uses stylised three-dimensional graphics that make locomotives, carriages and hostile vehicles immediately recognisable. The fog creates a constant post-apocalyptic atmosphere, while explosions, collisions and artillery effects clearly communicate the consequences of each action.
The camera provides a clear view of every unit’s position and helps players identify threats, obstacles and potential chain reactions. Cards display clear information about costs, effects and targets, making combinations easier to evaluate during each turn.
The experience is designed for one player and includes 50 Steam achievements. Steam Cloud, trading cards and Family Sharing are also supported.
The interface and subtitles are available in English, while full voice acting is not included.
