Fight alongside FL4K, rescue Mr. Chew, face new bosses, and obtain Pearlescent weapons, Legendary gear, and numerous cosmetics. Requires Borderlands 4 on Steam.

FL4K returns in a new adventure against Tediore

Developed by Gearbox and published by 2K, FL4K and the Last Resort has been available on Steam since September 10, 2026.

The expansion brings back FL4K, the famous Beastmaster from Borderlands 3, involving them in a new hunt to rescue their loyal skag Mr. Chew.

The action moves to the remote island of Providence, where the Electi chosen by the Timekeeper once spent their holidays in a luxurious resort surrounded by jungle and a massive volcano.

Tediore, however, wants to seize the island’s valuable Ordonite reserves. An invasion force led by five elite commanders and the ruthless Lieutenant Harmony quickly turns the tropical paradise into a battlefield.

Explore the new tropical region of Providence

Providence is a complete new area built around jungle, abandoned resorts, Tediore facilities, and an active volcano.

The region contains new main missions, side quests, activities, and collectibles.

Verticality plays an important role thanks to ziplines, which allow you to move above the vegetation, reach otherwise difficult areas, and gain advantageous positions during combat.

The volcano also represents a constant threat. Ordonite-contaminated lava can launch burning rocks across the island and trigger new events involving minibosses.

Providence therefore becomes one of Borderlands 4’s major post-launch exploration additions.

Face eight bosses and thirteen minibosses

The DLC significantly expands the number of enemies available.

The new campaign includes eight story bosses, including one major main boss, as well as thirteen additional minibosses.

Tediore forces include traditional soldiers, exoskeleton-equipped operators, and massive mechs fitted with different weapon configurations.

Some mechs can strengthen nearby allies or create reinforcements through digistruct systems, including unusual weapons equipped with legs.

To reach Lieutenant Harmony, you must progressively eliminate her commanders and penetrate the operational base built inside Providence’s volcano.

New activities inside Tediore's digiverse

The expansion also introduces activities specific to the new region.

On Providence, you can upload your Vault Hunter into Tediore’s digiverse servers and fight directly against waves of digital enemies before they are materialized in the physical world.

These encounters complement traditional missions and the dynamic events linked to the volcano.

Ziplines further expand tactical possibilities, allowing you to move rapidly above the jungle and attack enemies from new angles.

The objective is to preserve the looter-shooter rhythm of Borderlands 4 while adding new opportunities for exploration, combat, and loot farming.

Two Pearlescent weapons and new Legendary gear

Providence introduces a substantial selection of rewards obtainable by defeating bosses and minibosses.

The content adds:

• 2 new Pearlescent weapons

• 18 new pieces of Legendary gear

• 6 new Legendary Class Mods

• New boss rewards

• Loot dedicated to Providence activities

• New cosmetic items

The Pearlescent weapons include Astonisher, a Ripper shotgun, and Quadratus, a Vladof Ordnance Heavy Weapon.

The new loot encourages players to repeat battles and activities to refine builds for the different Vault Hunters.

New cosmetics for Vault Hunters, weapons, and vehicles

FL4K and the Last Resort also includes numerous customization items.

The DLC includes:

• 2 Vault Hunter Heads usable by all Vault Hunters

• 4 Vault Hunter Skins usable by all Vault Hunters

• 6 Weapon Skins

• 4 Vehicle Skins

• 3 ECHO-4 Drone Skins and Attachments

• 1 ECHO-4 Frame

These elements allow you to customize characters, weapons, vehicles, and ECHO-4 without changing the fundamental statistics of the equipment.

Loveless the Hacker is not included in this version

Story Pack 2 has been divided into two products that can be purchased separately.

This specific version includes FL4K and the Last Resort, meaning the new story, Providence, missions, bosses, enemies, loot, and associated cosmetics.

It does not include Loveless the Hacker, the new Vault Hunter introduced alongside Story Pack 2.

To obtain both parts, you need the Story Pack 2 Combo or must purchase Loveless separately.

FL4K and the Last Resort is also already included in the Super Deluxe Edition and the Vault Hunter Pack of Borderlands 4. Check the content already present on your account before purchase.

How to start FL4K and the Last Resort

The DLC is recommended for Vault Hunters at level 13 or above.

To reach Providence with an existing character, you must have completed the A Lot to Process mission in the Fadefields.

You can then begin the new adventure by interacting with the distress signal near The Bones of Sanctuary in the Terminus Range. The related mission is also marked on the ECHO map.

Alternatively, you can create a new Vault Hunter prepared to begin FL4K and the Last Resort directly at level 13.

Multiplayer and Italian language

The DLC supports the main modes of the base game:

• Single-player

• Online co-op

• Cross-platform multiplayer

• Steam Achievements

Fourteen languages are supported.

Italian is available for interface, full audio, and subtitles. Full voice acting is also available in English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese.
