Install the Remote Desktop service<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

(you can skip this step if you already have the service enabled)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Click on Start<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click on \u201cServer Manager<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. At the top right, click on \u201cManagement<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Click on \u201cAdd roles and features<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. In the new window that opens, click on \u201cNext\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Make sure that the \u201cRole-based or feature-based installation<\/strong>\u201d option is selected and click on \u201cNext<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. On the next screen, click on \u201cNext<\/strong>\u201d again.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. In the Roles<\/strong> menu, select \u201cRemote Desktop Service<\/strong>\u201d and then click on \u201cNext<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Click on \u201cNext<\/strong>\u201d again.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Click on \u201cNext<\/strong>\u201d again.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. In the Role Services <\/strong>menu, select \u201cRemote Desktop Licensing<\/strong>\u201d and confirm by clicking \u201cAdd Features<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  12. Then select \u201cRemote Desktop Session Host<\/strong>\u201d and confirm by clicking \u201cAdd Features<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  13. Click \u201cNext<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  14. Finally, click \u201cInstall<\/strong>\u201d to proceed with the installation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  15. Once the installation is complete, restart the system.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Enable the Server and activate the RDS Cal license<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. Click on Start<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Click on \u201cServer Manager<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. At the top right, click on \u201cTools<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Go to \u201cRemote Desktop Services<\/strong>\u201d and click on \u201cRemote Desktop Licensing Management\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. In the window that opens in the left menu, click on \u201c+<\/strong>\u201d on the All Servers<\/strong> item<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Right-click on the server you see, for example: \u201cWIN-FK1AB29xxxx<\/strong>\u201d and click on \u201cActivate server<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Click on \u201cNext<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    8. Click on \u201cNext<\/strong>\u201d again.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    9. Enter your personal data for license registration and click on \u201cNext<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    10. Here you can enter additional data (optional). Click on \u201cNext<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    11. The server has been activated. Now click on \u201cNext<\/strong>\u201d to activate the Cal license<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    12. Click on \u201cNext<\/strong>\u201d again<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    13. Click on \u201cNext<\/strong>\u201d again<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    14. Enter the product key and click on \u201cAdd\u201d<\/strong>, then on \u2018Next\u2019<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    15. Click on \u201cFinish\u201d<\/strong> to complete the activation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
